Dear Mother,
I herewith send you a postal order of four fifty. The butter amounted to 11.05 and you remember
$3.75 had to be taken out of it for a ticket, leaving $7.30. I had forgotten that I owed a fellow student $2.00
when I last wrote, so to make myself square with everyone financially, I paid
him. I had to pay 45 cents for washing
leaving $5.80 – 5 cents for order leaving me 25 cents for incidentals after
sending you the order. Guess I won’t have
to pay for any more tickets right away.
School will be out in about three weeks more. I received a letter from father yesterday. Am writing this in the P.O. Will have to hurry back to college. So goodbye from,
Arthur
Told you in my last about purchasing pants? Would have sent clothes with M & H but
could not get to the train.
